Logan Rosen knows a thing or two about great auks, including why their eggs are pointed at one end. He knows when fringe-toed lizards dance. He can tell you how many species of bees inhabit the planet. Go ahead, ask! Better yet, find out for yourself at www.loganspage.com. This Connecticut kid has launched four Web sites. The latest—all about animals—includes fascinating facts, self-grading quizzes, experiments, slide shows, and polls. "I wanted to do something educational and fun," he says. "Animals are a great topic. They're living creatures, like us. We need to treat them with respect and kindness." The Webmaster Like animals, machines are a major draw for Logan. "As a little kid, I'd sit in my car seat and check out the cars that went by. I could name every make and model. I got into computers then too. By the time I was in kindergarten, I'd created my first Web site." Logan's other sites are about trees, Egypt, and animal adaptations. "Learning about animals and nature is a passion for me, and I want to share that with other kids." |
