Hi-5 to Feed Shelter Cats!

Mimi Ausland’s freekibble.com and freekibblekat.com websites have provided more than two million meals to shelter pets. The idea is simple: visit each site once a day and answer a dog or cat trivia question. For every person who answers—whether they get it right or wrong—ten pieces of pet food are donated to feed animals in shelters.

On November 5, 2009, Mimi held the first-ever Freekibble Hi-5. For every person who answered the trivia question at freekibble.com that day, she donated five times the kibble—fifty pieces. The event was a huge success, raising 20,000 meals for homeless dogs in just one day!

It was such a hit that Mimi is now doing the same thing at freekibblekat.com.  For every person who answers the trivia question at freekibblekat.com on Friday, February 5, fifty pieces of cat food—five times the normal amount—will be donated. Mimi hopes the Freekibblekat Hi-5 will bring in five million pieces of food for shelter cats!
